The software is free to self-host. Hardware, infrastructure and the time needed to manage it are your responsibility.

MyWizard

Beta

A startup container that guides you through configuring the Docker Compose stack. It runs the wizard, writes the files and removes itself when finished.

Linux / macOS

mkdir -p ~/mysagra && cd ~/mysagra

docker run --rm -it \
  -v "$PWD":/out \
  -v /var/run/docker.sock:/var/run/docker.sock \
  ghcr.io/mysagra/mywizard:latest

Windows · PowerShell

New-Item -ItemType Directory -Force -Path ~\mysagra | Out-Null
Set-Location ~\mysagra

docker run --rm -it `
  -v "${PWD}:/out" `
  -v /var/run/docker.sock:/var/run/docker.sock `
  ghcr.io/mysagra/mywizard:latest

Already tested by the team, still in beta. Test the installation and the full workflow before using them at a festival.

Before running: Docker must be running. This command writes to the mysagra folder and mounts the Docker socket, giving the wizard access to the Docker host. Only run it on a machine you manage and after reading the instructions.

Free software. An installation you manage.

The wizard makes getting started easier, but it does not replace a technical operator. Self-hosting is a good fit if someone in your organization can look after the system, including during the event.

Docker and Docker Compose
A compatible machine, working Docker and terminal access. The initial installation needs Internet access to download the images.
Network and devices
A server available throughout the event, a reliable local network, checkout devices and compatible printers. Check addresses, ports and HTTPS certificates on your devices.
Maintenance and testing
Backups and recovery, updates, credentials and security are your responsibility. Test checkout, printing and your other chosen services before opening.

What MyWizard does

  1. Guides your choices

Choose the installation mode, network and services to enable. Simple and advanced configurations are available.

  2. Generates configuration

Creates docker-compose.yml, .env and, in simple mode, a Caddyfile and certificate instructions. Keep these files and protect the secrets.

  3. Can start the stack

With access to Docker it can start the services. The wizard container is removed; your MySagra stack and its data remain on your machine.

Looking for open source festival management software?

With MySagra you can inspect the code and install the software for free to run your own festival. Available source code and an open source license are not the same thing, though.

MySagra uses PolyForm Shield 1.0.0. The license allows use and modifications for permitted purposes, but restricts providing products or services that compete with the software or the licensor’s products. That is why we call it source available, not open source.

This is a summary, not a replacement for the license. Read the full terms and the licenses of individual components before reusing or distributing code.

Manage the server or focus on your festival?

MySagra self-hosting is free: your organization manages the server, network, backups and updates. MySagra managed cloud is paid and delegates hosting, backups and updates to the team. Event support and additional services depend on the agreed quote: they are not included in free self-hosting.

Free self-hosting

For teams with a technical operator who wants to manage the installation.

  • Self-hosted software without a subscription, subject to the license
  • Infrastructure, network and devices managed by your team
  • Backups, updates and troubleshooting are your responsibility
  • Professional support is not included

Hardware and additional services are not automatically included: we agree on what you need and what the quote covers.

Questions about MySagra self-hosting

Is MySagra free festival management software?

Yes. MySagra is free to self-host to run your own festival, subject to the PolyForm Shield license. You are responsible for hardware, infrastructure, configuration and maintenance. Professional services and support are paid.

Is MySagra open source?

No. MySagra is source available under PolyForm Shield 1.0.0. The code is available, but the license restricts uses that compete with the software or the licensor’s products. It is not an open source license.

Can I install MySagra without knowing Docker?

Self-hosting MySagra requires someone who understands Docker and Docker Compose and can manage networking, certificates, backups and updates. MyWizard guides the initial configuration but does not replace these skills. Paid MySagra managed cloud is the alternative for a team that does not want to manage a server.

Is MyWizard ready for use at an event?

MyWizard has been tested by the team, but is still in beta. Before an event, verify the installation and test all the operational workflows and devices you will use. The wizard alone does not guarantee the system is ready.

Does the command only install MyWizard?

The Docker command runs MyWizard, a temporary container that generates configuration and can start the MySagra stack. MyWizard removes itself when finished, while MySagra services, configuration and data remain on your infrastructure. Mounting the Docker socket gives the wizard access to the Docker host.

Can I use MySagra for free at a festival selling food and drinks?

Yes. MySagra is free to self-host to run your own festival, including one selling food and drinks, subject to PolyForm Shield. This does not authorize providing competing products or services based on the software. Hardware, infrastructure and professional support are not made free by the self-hosting license.

How much does MySagra self-hosting cost compared with managed cloud?

MySagra self-hosted software has no subscription fee: infrastructure, devices and technical work remain your responsibility. MySagra managed cloud is a paid service, quoted per event or season based on your requirements. Support and additional services follow the agreed scope; no fixed price is published on this page.

Does installing MySagra with MyWizard require Internet access?

The initial MySagra installation needs Internet access to download Docker images. Connectivity requirements during the event depend on the chosen configuration, network and services. Before opening, test networking, DNS, HTTPS certificates, checkout and printing on the actual devices: the wizard alone does not guarantee operation without Internet access.

Can I request professional services after trying self-hosting?

Yes. Contact MySagra to discuss managed cloud, support or custom development. Any transfer of configuration and data needs to be assessed together: it is not automatic or included in free self-hosting.
